As plans take shape to transform the former Lambert Memorial Hospital into a hub of care and support, the building is set to offer inpatient care at the heart of Thirsk as well as providing a base for growing outpatient services, including the Wellbeing Network.

Just B, part of the wider charity, is already providing its specialist bereavement support from Herriot Hospice at The Lambert, and the building is also an office base and reception for existing and growing services, such as the community HOME service. The weekly drop-in for those affected by terminal illness locally – part of the Wellbeing Network is now taking place from Herriot Hospice where people can access information, support and meet others for peer support over a cuppa.
The Community Hub has staff and a team of dedicated volunteers welcome local people to purchase refreshments and find out more about the range of services and how they can help individuals, families and friends. It’s a social space for everyone across the community, whether they’re living with terminal illness or bereavement or not.
